Wargaming (3rd+)
Our new Wargaming class focuses on Warhammer: Kill Team, a smaller format of wargaming, where the focus is learning to command your own personal army and becoming an expert with their unique abilities. Students build, paint, and play with their own Warhammer models and become familiar with the tactics of competitive Wargaming. The lore of the Warhammer setting is deep and vibrant, and understanding your army's place in the context of the full Warhammer story can be a fun way to engage with the battles as they play out. The class is designed to allow students to focus on the part of the hobby they are most interested in, be that the model building and painting or the mechanics of the battles themselves.
Each student registered in this class gets their own team, made up of 6 to 12 plastic models to use and battle with their peers as teammates or enemies. (Refer to information below*)
In the first classes, students will physically build their models, cutting and gluing pieces from a kit, and then move on to painting them to fit their liking. Once all the models are complete, they'll dive into a bespoke story and begin learning the systems for the game, battling against each other, and against our instructors.
*There is an additional $50 fee for materials included in the cost of tuition. This fee is for the models that students will use to learn how to build and paint throughout the trimester. These models will be stored at our location. At the end of the trimester students will be able to take their finished product home!
